Stardust sucked donkey dick.
Geez, that movie was so "bloody" awful. I feel terrible for neil gaiman, we should send him a pizza or something to cheer him up. I don't know where to start with this shit fest. Okay I do. Something we learn from the film is that rape or the implication of it is funny. "Oh those sky pirates, what will they do next? *chuckle, chuckle*" Also, I'm not at all sure what this movie is saying about homosexuals, I mean what the FUCK? It makes sense that sky pirates are gay but this is a seriously worn-out stereotype, on the level of the magical black man. I can't really say I'm surprised, I knew what I was in for but it really was painful. The kicker is that the Gaiman's story and Vess' artwork are so great. Stardust really is a beautiful illustrated book. Longleggedgit's sister pointed out that its a Ron Weasly goes-it-alone story and she is right. Tristran Thorn is a lot like Ron, he is just not overshadowed by a god-like chosen one in Stardust so he can good-natured-ly bumble into heroics at his own pace. Also, thanks so much to all of you supportive, wonderful people out there who took the time out of your lives to look at my drawings. You are all so sweet that I will make some more for you. I'm always open to suggestions if there is something or someone or someone with something (yes in that way) that you would like to see. Thanks again everybody! Another long absence on my part but this time I have a few things to show for it like my fancy fully functioning medium format camera, out of the repair shop and in my hands snapping off shots in the freezing cold just like it used to. These pictures are here for my friend joe while he dukes it out with his domain provider. I guess some friends of his friends want to see his work online. So while he removes some dumb templates, you folks can look at some of his photos here. There are two sets of diptychs, so their titles are of course the same. "Still Collecting Data" means the title is in process. All of the images in this posting are under the copyright of joe sullivan and may not be used, printed, copied, pasted, begged, borrowed, sold, undersold, or displayed without his direct permission. "good luck with that stuff sullivan! BwAHA!" ( Everyone in the neighborhood is hoping that the little-old-deaf lady lives forever. If she does her house won't be torn down and replaced with the Soviet style apartment buildings
going up across the street. Seeing her opening her screen door for her dog is always a relief after passing under towering rows of bricks and tyrannical sheet metal overhangs.

and after six months of being a mud-caked mess, the area was covered with 100 square feet of concrete, 5 saplings, and quite a bit of grass.
The men walked over all this just as easily.

28 x 39 )( A black-top rectangle formed the intersection where three cats, two grey and one yellow, crossed between dumpsters. Mostly the dirt from tires, shoes, and claws fell into the rectangle's cracks, but one night a black marker appeared, the next night a clear shower ring, and finally 89 three stemmed broken plant roots showed up. Once they were all there, cars squashed each and every one of them, excluding the cats.

cars outside. The nearby dumpster, therefor, can be plucked clean of its mostly fresh cookie boxes, red peppers, green peppers, and cucumbers.

34 x 45 ) ( Rain keeps exposing tiny aqua rocks that are embedded in the dirt 3 to 12 inches from concrete. They are not the kind of rocks from an aquarium; they are jagged, little more than pebbles, and about as hard as a fingernail.
When the rain took a break, 166 helicopter seedlings stuck themselves in the 6 inches of dirt and grass that bordered the concrete. Beyond those 6 inches, the number of helicopter seedlings was bewildering.

Hermione Granger and the Strap-On of Fire
Everyone has seen the movie a few times now and one thing is clear to me... SEX, SEX, SEX, thats what this movie was all about (no personal projections here of course.) But jeez, Harry and Hermione were getting close in this film... a little too close. It seems like the Harry/Hermione screw-balls have had their day in the sun after everyone said "Sorry kids, it'll never happen. Harry loves Draco." So this picture goes out to you folks for all your stubborn adherence to your boring het pairing. Enjoy. Where the Hell?!
So sorry I have been out of touch folks. Life threw a couple of curve balls and I have been either trying to catch them or dodge them completely. Good news; I quit my job at the convenience store and am now printing photos for lots more money, I have some new pictures dedicated to the HP movie almost ready for you all, and its Lindsay DeLand's birthday tomorrow! Bad news; my whole family is pissed at me in a VERY pissy passive/aggressive way... so no X-Mas this year. Perhaps its not that bad. Enough of that, here is a little something for Lindsay's birthday! I CHALLENGE!!!
Yesterday I was listening to the radio at work, not by choice mind you it can not be turned off, and guess what I heard the dullard DJs say. Well they stated the already well known, to us, news that George Taki aka Sulu of Star Trek was gay. But in their attempt to be funny they listed the TOP TEN WAYS to tell if a STAR TREK CHARACTER IS GAY. My ears perked up and I listened the best I could despite the worthless whines of customers wanting cigarettes that they had adopted disgusting pet names for. OH but the TEN those lazy DJs came up with were so awful... NOT FUNNY AT ALL in fact and they seemed to have no in-depth knowledge of the show to aid them. I won't recount all of their failings here but I will give you two... #10. If the character is trying to get a civil union with Data. {lame beyond belief} #3. If the character has complained about Star Fleet's "Dont Ask, Dont Tell" policy. {snore} THESE People ARE Morons! They simply tacked on some real world G/L issues onto a Star Trek count down. FOR SHAME! So to alleviate the growing tumors of annoyance on my mind I henceforth issue a CHALLENGE to all of you, my fine and perverted friends. IF you can devise 5 good ways you can tell if a Star Trek Character is gay and submit them to me I will present the writer of the best TOP 5 with a drawing of Shirtless Swashbuckling Sulu, saber and all, with the Star Trek Character of their choice. Runner up will be awarded a print of Mirror, Mirror Spock. Email your submissions to texastandsalone@hotmail.com along with your choice of Sulu's partner and YOU COULD WIN. So the gauntlet is cast. How could any of you not partake in this challenge!? Consider how gay everyone on those shows are! Its the original SLASH show. Watch one episode with Kirk and Spock or Picard and Q and I have no doubt you will be supplied with 800 methods of discerning their man love. So get to it.
